These images give the feeling of the photographs I’d like to capture of families and the houses the call home on Lake Hopatcong.
My hope is to photograph lake homes in their perfectly imperfect daily life—towels hanging over deck railings, games left out from the night before, a pile of rafts and tubes by the dock. I’m imagining items that have been in the house for decades that hold deep meaning and memories—perhaps even a height chart written on the wall.
Along with photographing the house, I’d love to have the family who lives there in some images—maybe enjoying the dock with kids jumping in the lake, or relaxing on a porch…those kinds of things.
